PAGE2STAGE

a two-week, intensive summer theater program offered at Presentation High School, San Jose

• Dates: June 2-7 and 9-13 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
• Performances June 13-15 and 19-22 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

• Tuition: $300 (includes all fees). Payment due June 2 (not May 31 as previously announced), 7:00 p.m. at parent meeting.
• Scholarships available
• Who: young men and women, 15-21 years old with some theater experience
• Application deadline: May 12, 2008 (Auditions will be held May 13 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.)

PERFORMANCES

There will be seven performances of the original musical DREAM STREET in the Valenzuela Theater at the following times:

• Friday, June 13, 2:00 p.m.
• Saturday, June 14, 2:00 p.m.
• Sunday, June 15, 2:00 p.m.
• Thursday, June 19, 11:00 a.m.
• Friday, June 20, 2:00 p.m.
• Saturday, June 21, 11:00 a.m.
• Sunday, June 22, 2:00 p.m. (followed by strike)

THE FUN CONTINUES

Any student who participates in PAGE2STAGE may also enroll in the senior track of our PresRep program, which runs from June 16-July 20. All roles in this program’s production of ANNIE and BROADWAY AT PRES are available. Both male and female candidates are welcome to apply for all of our summer theater programs.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Each participant in this two-week intensive will create part of an original musical. They will also receive the experience of becoming a member of a small company with a featured role in the production. This program has limited enrollment so each student will receive individual attention.

ABOUT THE MUSICAL

What happens when a girl in a wheelchair finds herself in a world filled with singing, dancing car characters? DREAM STREET is a family musical for all ages set on The Streets, a world where cars are people too. It features a cast of crazy cars including a limousine married to a compact car, a trio of sassy taxi cabs and a convertible who is trying to steal a brand new pickup truck’s tires. Up-tempo songs and dance numbers, colorful costumes and sets and some wacky humor will keep children entertained while imparting gentle messages of diversity and self-esteem.
