Welcome to the PresRep website! Our program for summer 2008 has come to a successful close, as our wonderful and talented students mounted three musical productions as shown in our PresRep flyer: Dream Street, Broadway at Pres and Annie. The information on this site will be updated later this year when plans are completed for our summer 2009 program. What IS PresRep? Presentation Repertory (PresRep) is our 5-week theater training program for boys and girls ages 12-17. Housed in the Valenzuela Theater and classroom complex at 2281 Plummer Ave, San Jose, CA, participants take introductory classes in various performing arts disciplines while building their team-building and cooperation skills as they perform in a fully-staged musical. This past year each student received a role in our mainstage show: Annie!, and a featured role in our family musical Broadway at Pres. No previous experience or training is necessary. Technical theater tracks were offered 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri., between June 16 and July 20, 2008. |
PAGE2STAGE is our two-week intensive creativity workshop (which took place June 2-13, 2008) for more experienced students who already had a basic understanding of the theater arts. It was open to young men and women ages 15-21. |
